You will like it when Thai Food's Cory says, "c'mon Curtis" on "Make Her Pay"

"can't pay you back today... no way"

Listening to Thai Food's shifty Make Her Pay with its funk disco punk meets heavy metal breakdowns made me smile. I imagined Cory Eklund with his lackadaisical vocal aesthetic talking his talk and then Curtis coming out of know where blasting his guitar away (..."c'mon Curtis) and lawn chairs and small animals being blown away (I tend to think in cartoon logic). This band has to have fun, packed live shows with a lot of sweaty moshing.

Thai Food is Curtis Narayanan (guitar), Cory Eklund (vox, various instruments), Thom Haenlein (bass) and Thomas Baker (drums).

Thai Food is guaranteed to be one of the top 5 indie rock bands formed in a pool in the Bay Area during the 21st century. Formed in July of 2018 by guitarist Curtis Narayanan and singer/instrumentalist Cory Eklund, and later joined by bassist Thom Haenlein, and drummer Thomas Baker, Thai Food recorded their first EP at St Andrew's Middle School. The EP, "Running Things" was mixed by Willie Samuels, produced by Thomas Baker and is set to release soon. The songs on the EP have been described as "banger after banger" (by members of the band). If you listen to it and end up not liking it, try again, there was probably something wrong with your speakers.
