Drew Hart and the wistful, mysterious memory of "Rainy Summer"

"but I still got your number"

Sometimes artists and their music feel like chance meetings that could blossom, like love around a corner or behind veiled eyes but they forget to leave a phone number and just vanish in the darkness. That is kind of how I feel about Drew Hart a singer-songwriter / musician from Atlanta Georgia. He moved to Brooklyn and was a touring bassist for the band Lewis Del Mar. He is back doing what he loves to do, making songs. I really love the sound of Rainy Summer which he recorded on a 4 track tape deck in his bedroom.
The sound is beautiful, tainted with shades of ambiance that makes it all feel kind of nostalgic and dreamy. There are shades of country, of deep roots too. The original sub came from a SoundCloud link but when I went back it was gone. Luckily I found this brief bit of musical brilliance on YouTube so thanks to the Indie and Folk Radio channel.
