Some Bodies stir up power pop psychedelia that turns deep, obtuse and oh so sweet on "Ain't Over Yet"

Bristol (UK) born Some Bodies stir up psychedelia and nostalgia within their shiny pop illuminations through post punk filters. You can hear it on the dreamy Ain't Over Yet from their "Sunscreen" album 2019. There is a sense of 60's chamber pop but 80's punk too and current sounds all at once. The lyrical content feels both deep and obtuse, with youthful melodies, an amalgam of Brian Wilson, Black Francis and the D'Addario brothers smashed together into something sweet but artful.

Preaching a dim view of "this modern life", Some Bodies plunge you into a pool of nostalgia as way of escape. Wobbly synths float past guitars and drums from a time-gone-by. In a similar way to bands like FUR, Sons of Raphael or The Lemon Twigs, their music aptly reflects this generation's sentimentality for the past. Some Bodies recently made their live debut in their hometown of Bristol, supporting Champagne Superchillin'.
