Leizure and the blaring distortion bleed of "Nightmare" (official video)

Leizure’s new track “Nightmare” off of their debut album Primal Hymns is the sound of wild ruckus that you’ve been craving. Like a demonic lovechild of The Birthday Party and Psychedelic Furs, this Copenhagen band have molded a furious sonic paradise which is rightfully picking up steam with its audience. The track bleeds blaring distortion as Zakarias Sanderson’s vocals throw you into oblivion down a saxophone laden spiral. Get into the spirit with “Nightmare” and get your bloody hands on the just released Leizure album, Primal Hymns.

The new wave of No Wave

Commanded by what seems to be the bastard love child of Iggy Pop and Dean Martin, the young post-punks of Leizure exude a savage elegance.

Pioneering Copenhagen’s “new wave of No Wave”, Leizure’s untamed brass and bone-rattling beats combined with lead singer Zakarias Sanderson’s charismatic, erratic vocals have captured audiences since their 2017 debut.

The quintet’s raw and powerful live performances have relentlessly won over audiences at major Danish venues such as ALICE and VoxHall. This fall they will headline their first show at iconic venue Loppen, in Christiania, Denmark.
