UK garage punk outfit, Proto Idiot, just released their new twelve track full length "FUB" via Rigmarole Records and track 8: "Head Straight" is a blistering big piece of garage punk pop pie. It is tasty, mosh worthy, a direct injection of adrenalin and conjures up rabid urban skateboarding or happy late night romps with friends or friends to be.
"I never knew that I was lonely... 'till you came along and showed me"
Of the track, the band offers:
"It was written on a crappy acoustic guitar during the summer, while staying in a house in the middle of nowhere. And, of course, it's about straightening out your brains : )"
"I never thought that I was stupid... then your facts and figures proved it"

Proto Idiot is a garage pop band starring Callum Darley, Michael Seal and Andrew Anderson. Since 2007 they’ve released half a dozen LPs on labels like Slovenly, Third Uncle and Bad Paintings, with their latest album Find Out for Themselves hitting the shelves in 2019.
Originally the band was a solo side project for Hipshakes/Freak Genes guitarist Andrew, who was accompanied by members of CoCoComa, Black Time and Negative Scanner for various recordings and gigs.
Things finally got official in 2014 when Mike and Callum (both also of The Be Positives) joined full time. They’ve released three LPs together – For Dummies (Bad Paintings, 2016), Leisure Opportunity (Slovenly, 2017), Find Out for Themselves (Third Uncle, 2019) – and toured Europe and the US a whole bunch.
Their new album FUB came out on 21 September on Rigmarole Records.
