Arbour Season's tender, rustic elegance turns magical on "December Lullaby" (feat. The Octobers)

"in the moonlight, in the moonlight"

Arbour Season's tender, rustic "December Lullaby" cast with classic folk pop affections is a Christmas song that doesn't feel overtly so (at first) and I like that. It is beautifully poised as a love song but turns more magical as this indie folk husband and wife (with help from The Octobers) insert lyrics from what maybe the most universal Christmas song ever written (penned in 1816). It is lovely and smart, the exquisite harmonies spinning the song in blue and white lights of nostalgia. The inspiration is, as you have guessed, the story of Jesus' birth. In the end, "December Lullaby" taken as a holiday love song (from whatever religious or non religious perspective you are coming from) feels like home.

Arbour season is an Indie/folk husband and wife duo who gather inspiration for their music from the many adventures they experience in their RV home to create an ambient folk sound that captures the serenity of the western vistas, eastern coastlines, and national forests they spend so much of their time in. With a passion for music, nature, and travel, they hope to bring you with them to each beautiful destination they visit, simply by letting you get lost in the cheerful guitar riffs, intricate and even haunting harmonies of their voices as well as the many other instruments they use to accent their musical stories.
