"One Nation" by Montreal electronic duo Motherwave is an instrumental that attacks and stands back, it feels very electronic wave with rock and pop elements always bathed in rays of drama. The thick synth chordal feel of the "rock-ish" hook is a monster that stalks and I did think of 70's synth stalwarts like Edgar Winter and even the synthetic guitar sounds of more modern artists like Muse. Sometimes the only thing that informs an instrumental is, of course, the title which, in this case, could be very dark and oppressive or free and unifying of spirit. I sort of feel both here. Cool sounds that end to fast.
