Klemsdal and the electro power pop psychedelia of "These Walls"

"she's lost back again"

There is something about Norwegian bred, Stockholm based psyche pop / indie rock artist Klemsdal (on his latest track "These Walls") that swings widely and wildly. The double time beat, pearly guitar underneath psychedelic power pop / electro pop affections, tight melodic mid range bass lines and, of course, Klemsdal's potent pop art vox that feels exquisitely surreal on one hand, but sort of late 70's pop rock on the other (with touches of glam). It made me think of the kind of evasive track that would be on MGMT's first album and that is a great thing.

The artist shares:  This song was made by playing with around with an old Juno-6, and then adding guitars and drums on top. This session gave a 20 min song and idea which took a year to finish and compress down to two tracks, TalkTalkTalk and These Walls. Both tracks deals with Talk vs Action and Talk vs Thoughts and Facts, with TalkTalkTalk being focus on the external aspects, while These Walls the internal aspects.
