Girl and Girl over boils on porno and punk on "Sex on the Internet"

"close the door, come back for more..."

When Kai James cries out in a wailing croon "Spend all my time having sex on the internet! You wouldn't believe how many girls that I haven't met!" it is a glorious thing. A young lad and yet, to me, the aesthetic vocally and the perfectly raw spartan sideways sound musically, the punk nucleic acid hearkens back to an amalgam of artists from the halcyon days of proto punk, punk and new wave. I think of Television, Richard Hell and the Voidoids, the Dead Kennedys, La Femme,  Human Sexual Response, Wall of Voodoo etc. It makes me wonder if Kai, Jayden and Coby have been rifling through Aunty Liss's cassette collection. My apologies to the many Aussie punk bands that may inform Girl and Girl's sound as well, as my knowledge may be rather myopic. Me thinks I need to speak to Girl and Girl someday and find out what turns and twists, sharpens their musical edges.

Recorded in the baron lands of Boonah, 'Sex on the Internet' speaks to the turmoil faced by the over use of pornography. Recording the vocals on this track was an out of body experience for front man Kai James. Littered with passion, sexual confusion and a longing to break unhealthy patterns.
