Lost Near Blue Ape and the crunchy post punk cajole of "Operator" (Official Video)

"all of the sudden a voice starts talking to me..."

"Operator" by West London's Lost Near Blue Ape emanating from Uxbridge is exquisitely brilliant. A lot of post punk bands will pummel with a runaway stomping beat but the mid-tempo sway of this track with punchy sort of glam meets power pop guitar strikes feel like the stuff of late 70's proto punk and early new wave. It is glorious in it's raw, yet somehow elegant tones, superb melodies and such strong vox provided by Ted Prendergast. There is something to be said about a thoroughly engaging lead singer sans guitar and I did think of groundbreaking artists like Blondie and even No Doubt (both in their early years). Absolutely, love everything about this song and their Official Video.
