Oracle Sisters and the kaleidoscopic folk dreams of "Honey Moon"

"Honey Moon, why your telling teeth send shivers and your rose buds shine like silver..."

Paris based Oracle Sisters with emotional tentacles from Belgium, New York and Edinburgh, Scotland craft heartfelt escapist sonic touchstones that never cease to amaze and touch me in artful, soulful ways. "Honey Moon" with it's mid tempo sway and ode to love poetic and surreally real that float on dreamy melodies that, at times, feel like 50's pop fair from the Great American Songbook before it ascends to bohemian psychedelic flights of fancy and kaleidoscopic dreams. Sadly the embrace is not a long one but it is utterly appreciated.

"Honey Moon" is from the trio's latest EP "Paris II".

Oracle Sisters are a Paris based three piece of writers and players - One of NME's Essential Artists for 2019.

Lewis Lazar is a painter, Christopher Willatt is a mathematician. They have both been writing music since they were kids and friends in Brussels, Belgium.

They grew up to pursue different things in different countries; Lewis explored poetry, roots music and rock n roll in New York and Christopher ran an underground performance venue in the smokey heart of folk tradition - Edinburgh, Scotland.

They reunited in Paris in 2017 to begin writing anew and reinvented themselves as the "Oracle Sisters".

Julia Johansen, from Finland, who had just landed in Paris with her guitar and some songs joined them with harmonies and her secret talent on drums.

Oracle Sisters soon attracted a family of artists and comrades who have helped shape and support their sound.

Their music, has been described as music to make love to (Dorion Fiszel).

Oracle Sisters, Shoegaze / Dream Pop, Psychedelic Rock, Indietronica, Parisian trio, new EP "Paris II", blurring lines between musical and visual arts. "Honey Moon"
