Pardoner and the San Fran hybrid punk punch of "Bunny's Taxi"

"The sun shines on San Francisco Like a light at the dentist’s office..."

Get into "Bunny's Taxi" and fly down Taylor Street in San Francisco catching air while trying to get to "that" house party because you are the band that is playing and you might get a sense of the frenetic, jamming tones that Pardoner are laying down. The song casts nods to Dirty Harry who may or may not of helped to make San Fran a little bit more famous but what makes the song so utterly engaging is the feral energy that the boys produce and a potent vocal aesthetic that (to me) has a pushed early 80's punk punch. The rattle and tightly wound sound with discordant fall aways into punk proggyness with the angry guy on the corner vox and I am feeling an amalgam of not only punk but grunge and alt rock artfulness like a crashing together of bands like The Oh Sees, The Dead Kennedys, Nirvana, Idles and Gang Of Four.

Pardoner is Max Freeland (vocals, guitar), Trey Flanigan (vocals, guitar), River van den Berghe (drums) with the addition of their old friend Colin Burris (bass) to record their third full length "Came Down Different" and their debut on Bar/None Records (dropping on May 14th 2021).
