Singer-songwriter, artist Sandra Iris is not afraid to cut her truth and consequences both ways. Her self-reflective, groovy, bedroom pop track "I'm Trash" has slinky lounge punk affections that highlight Iris's dynamic earthy almost smoky croon. Her vocal aesthetic, cajoles, coos, pouts and is hard on itself too as she spouts truthful smart words that are totally relatable. Of the track (where she sings in English and Spanish) she shares:
"-I'm Trash- is an ironic song. It tells the story of being in love with a friend, while they are in love with someone else. You feel like shit yes, but then you reach a cathartic point where you don't give a fuck and you write this song making fun of you for being dramatic about this. It's not the end of the world."
"I'm Trash" was produced by LEIDAN and is a follow up to the charming epicurean "Midnight Tacos".
