Tai Verdes crushes and charms on "we would have some cute kids."

"I see your face and we would have some cute kids"

Tai Verdes isn't interested in genres except maybe just blowing them up entirely. While his sound might be described as alternative R&B indie in which he deftly blends pop flavors with hints (tints) of blues and indie rock, the main take away is that Verdes as a singer-songwriter creates relatable songs that while well produced feels raw and stripped away (emotionally) with deep house party vibes. His best know track "Drugs" might be a textbook study in his overall aesthetic as it both dives deep and swims in the shallows, it tastes as luscious as fast food but satiates your hunger too because within his catchy melodies (cast out with his earnest and pop punching real life croon) there are truths to be told. Like comedy, if there are not truths in the punch line, the joke falls flat. It is the same with the broad pop swing that Verdes creates, if it isn't real, isn't truthful, the pop forward blend feels flat. Verdes doesn't have to worry about that happening and his propensity to push real buttons has gained him a huge following. On Spotify, he has 2,707,093 million monthly listeners. Verdes' debut single “Stuck in the Middle” hit a Number One spot on Spotify’s US viral chart. His music has garnered over 60 million global streams and over 1 billion TikTok views. This 24 year old Los Angelino's trajectory has not gone un-noticed and he was recently signed to Arista Records. Stay humble Tai.

His latest "we would have some cute kids" is totally, well, cute as is the Official Video. It is worthy of your latest playlist and the video is totally sharable. Built around a porch blues guitar riff that Verdes vocally mirrors in the best possible way, it flows on a deep groove, pearly keys, hand claps and more. The horns feel 70's funk, the overall vibe maybe 90's dance funk pop and it is beautiful.

Tai Verdes' full length Album "TV" drops Wednesday, May19th at 9 PM (PST- I assume).
