PREMIERE: Trace Decay and the torn, tattered romance wave of "Arcade Games" (Night Version) / Official Live Video

"oh c'mon won't you talk to me, tell me anything you want..."

Melbourne based Trace Decay might inspire love letters written on actual paper. The dark brooding romance wave tones on "Arcade Games" (Night Version) held up with a sense of beautiful minimalism set around pearly electric guitar, trap beat affections, lush embraceful waves of synths anchored with deep bass lines around the deep gravitational pull of a vocal aesthetic that feels as absolutely torn as it does tender, sultry yet bruised and battered. The cinematic pull here hearkens back to 80's new wave or 90's Goth pop when love seemed to always be unrequited (maybe that is still the case) and dark poetry was only written by the outsiders in the crowd. It is a time fueled by artists like The Cure, Spandau Ballet or the Cocteau Twins when love and desire might of felt less overt and more subversive. In any case, when you get your heart broken it still hurts like hell.
