Midnight Guest and the metal heaviness of "The Future Is Vintage"

"A girl dressed as a suffragette gets ready to reenact..."

The aesthetic of "The Future Is Vintage" by Midnight Guest feels a bit like a feral late 70's romp down Sunset Blvd in Hollyweird (that is my reference but you can pick your own locale). The feeling is black leather, part metal core, part 70's hair band, part Black Sabbath. Midnight Guest is the heavy rock meets occult rock project created by São Paulo, Brazil guitarist Daniel Stunges. On the first self titled EP he brought on Tadeu Correa on drums, Eduardo Oliveira on bass and singer Kjetil Landsgard from Canada.

[The genesis of Midnight Guest comes from the desire to create within the occult rock genre, with punk attitude from rock bands such as Motörhead and Misfits. The first EP was recorded with vintage instruments and transferred to analog tape before mastering, and it reached the streaming platforms accompanied by the official video for the track “Hellfire (Do What Thou Wilt)”.]
