Rituel Encens and the darkwave flesh of "ENNA"

The darkwave atmosphere of "ENNA" from Rituel Encens, based in Paris and New York and a follow up to last year's "I" album, feels like a dramatic gothic descent. The synths like medieval pipe organs that were, after all, originally intended to arouse amorous spirits, seem to do so here. Gothic drives of the flesh or ghostly apparitions seems to stir within the shoegaze dark waves of sounds created by Bat Kalaayan (Bat) and Ein Rijin (Evil Symbols).
