Linus Fenton and the feral and well trained "Hedgehog"

"I got you to let me down..."

Linus Fenton's "Hedgehog" adrift in bits of ambient conversation, fuzzy textured bass guitar leads, vocals effected in such a way that it feels like you are listening surreptitiously to someone's phone conversation with bold sweeping art rock ascensions and you are eventually spiraling out of control in an opera of sorts. As a trained jazz musician, multi-instrumentalist and session bass player for many artists, you get the feeling that the surreal flights of fancy are improvisational and purposeful, toyingly teasing and serious. It all makes for a wild ride and ride again (as you most certainly will) and you will find different sounds, edges, hard and soft.

More commonly found playing as a session bass player for various artists, Linus Fenton's solo work begins to recalibrate the universe around him, etching new ciphers into the bark of the many tangential branches and roots of his musical upbringing. Although having trained as a jazz musician, his formative years were spent obsessively consuming Blur, Radiohead and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
