Torrey and the spiraling wistful "Cold Snack" (Official Video)
"According to you..."
Torrey, the indie music project helmed by San Francisco based artists / songwriters and siblings Ryann (vocals, bass) and Kelly (rhythm guitar), along with close friends, Eric (drums) and Adam (lead guitar), released their debut album "Something Happy" (July 9th, 2021) and the track "Cold Snack" sits comfortably right dead center in the mix. There is something so exquisite in the density of the musical sounds offset by the shoegaze-esque color of the the vocals that sit so well together. The falling melodies and swelling sounds while turning in simple ways are so effective in moving, shifting one's emotions. Like a sonic Rorschach test, it may instill different emotional cues in each who listen but probably all of the feelings will have soft wistful somber edges.
A four-piece indie pop band based in the Bay Area. Fronted by songwriters and siblings Ryann (vocals, bass) and Kelly (rhythm guitar), and supported by close pals Eric (drums) and Adam (lead guitar), we like to make sweetly melancholic, hook-heavy pop tunes.
