Ansley Rushing and the pure cinematic country folk sweep of "Over It" (Official Video)

Nashville based, Georgia bred singer-songwriter, violinist, guitarist Ansley Rushing has just released her 2021 debut, "Over It" and it feels like a soundtrack to a movie about the pursuit of love and the inherent loss of something in that pursuit. Rushing's beautiful croon and sway here bolstered by an earthy authentic country folk sway, peddle steel (or country guitar) sounds, percussive ukulele, plaintive violin and embracing self harmonies feels at once classic and endearing in it's musical narrative and emotionality. The pure beauty is offset by the somber crushing reflections. A reminder that life is hard if you dare to feel things deeply. 

"Over It" was recorded in Nashville with the superb assistance of producer Wilson Harwood, mastering/engineer Toby Hulbert (Dawes, The Highwomen). The accompanying Official Video directed / filmed by Tracy Allison and edited by Steve Voss is equally moving.

Ansley Rushing is a singer, songwriter, and violinist based in Nashville, TN. Originally from Georgia, she played shows in Atlanta and Athens for years before relocating to Tennessee. She is releasing her first official recordings in 2021.
