"it's been getting dark, we can hardly see..."
Listening to the jagged off center brilliance of "Swim" by the somewhat elusive Manchester UK singer songwriter, musician onedaybear and I immediately go to the fertile British artful brain pool of music that flourished in the mid to late 70's. It might be the sound of onedaybear's ever moving guitar notes, the pounding drum beats, the staccato bass rhythms and, most notably, onedaybear's lovely vocal aesthetic, part spoken, partly sung and 100% British. All of these elements (for me) contain the same musical D.N.A of that time, of artists like Gang of Four, Joy Division, The Cure and others.
Turn it up loud and watch the imagery projected in your mind. Enjoy.

Mancunian artist, onedaybear, has released his new single, ‘Swim (ODB remix)’.onedaybear began posting tracks on Soundcloud in 2010 while studying at The University of Manchester. He was inspired by the city’s rich musical heritage to start making music and started out his musical career by uploading demos to Soundcloud whilst being a part of other bands (La Dharma and a few smaller projects). This year, he decided to go into the studio as a solo artist for the first time to record the single ‘Swim’. (FROM INDIE BUDDIE)
