From Tel Aviv based Folly Tree's current full length "Remedies", we have a stunning live performance of track 3 of the album, the fanciful "Mad Is The Beast" that feels adoringly like something between 1960's French cafe music, 80's baroque pop with 90's lounge pop punk tentacles running throughout this art pop affair. Key and at the center is the artistically powerful beautiful sunshine of Israeli singer-songwriter, guitarist, keyboardist Alex Moshe. Her lyrical journey, evocative vocal aesthetic and 'mad skills' guitar work absolutely charms and kills with her amazing bandmates elevating it all.
I have not had the pleasure of dipping into the entire album but based on this, I will. I surely will.
