Touch the Clouds and the heavy ascensions and dreamy passion of "Feeling Light"

"we were all at the edge of the night..."

"Feeling Light", the first single from the upcoming 15-song LP from Detroit scene veterans Touch The Clouds (feat. members of Few and Far Between, King For A Day, Lovesick, and more), from the very onset lifts you up with the potent urgency created by big heavy guitar shapes and passionate vox. I feel post hardcore tinges, touches of grunge and the dreamy theater of 90's indie rock / post punk ascensions and bending guitar lines. Very, very punchy and compelling. The track was produced by Joe Philips, Erik Maluchnik, Adam Cox and mastered at Third Man Mastering by His Name is Alive paragon, Warren Defever.

The songs themes feel very relevant today as the band shares:

"Lyrically, the song is about finding your center in today's frenetic world - making the time to sit still in the sun, take a deep breath, and let it all go - feeling both photons and relief."

God, love the guitars here.

Detroit indie rock veterans TOUCH THE CLOUDS (feat. members of Few and Far Between, King For A Day, Lovesick, and more) return to the fold for their upcoming self-titled,15-song full-length album.

The savvy quartet of players have a built in chemistry after years spent banding around the fabled Midwest rock scene, but have now turned their talents toward honing an impassioned sound that’s as layered as space rock, but also as caustic and quick-cutting as post-hardcore, forging an uncanny bridge between a melodious pop and an urgent, edgy punk sound. Tough, tight, heavy and cathartic.
