Chase Plato and the hammer and embrace of "SET YOU FREE" (Official Video)

"can we hold hands in the mosh pit..."

Sometimes it is best not to spend a lot of time trying to describe art. Sometimes it is just better to absorb it. This is one of those times. "SET YOU FREE" by the genre agnostic, explosive and embracing Detroit artist Chase Plato layers in a lot of sonic atmospheres. The power and passion is potent but the drops into youthful romance is potent too. It is sort of like tossing bits of emo, post hardcore, surf punk, conscious hip hop, video games, art pop, progressive rap, jangle pop in a gear bag with copious amounts of Chinese firecrackers and lighting it all on fire.

I love the surprises, the in your face angst ridden punches counter positioned against moments that feel like high school crushes. Great stuff that, once again, is hard to describe so just dive into the Official Video.
