Bathed in a chunky classic 80's indie rock meets post punk meets new wave atmosphere, the track "a breed apart" by alt pop L.A. duo 1 REBEL NATION keep it midnight cool, edgy and sultry all at once. The sound possesses a certain nostalgia when it was ok to wear leather and most bands at most venues dressed up to play. A time before the bands were wearing flannel shirts and holey jeans. It is not that this song feels specifically from that time, it does not. I feels like now but to me it somehow brings back real memories.
