"With my vodka on the table / And everyone around me drinking shots / Was I able / To stumble home forgetting that we fought..."
The mesmerizing lowercased "vodka on the table" by TheFleok, the moniker of Cali bred, New York based singer-songwriter Leo Jergovic at first feels like it could be a Coldplay song but as soon as you hear Leo's potent, gritty, angst ridden vocal countenance it feels more like a busker punk-esque amalgam of a young Billy Joel and a current Jeff Rosenstock. The explosive urgency and passion sucks you in as crashing downbeats amp up the heaviness within the melancholia. The song in it's emotional brevity feels like the first chapter of a personal novella, a semi-sweet bitter character study.
As press notey stuff reveal:
["vodka on the table" is the single for the "Wrong Page EP", by TheFleok. It is about the feeling of being disconnected in parties, events, and life due to the adversities connected to alcohol, anxiety, and other negative inputs. It conveys this frustration through cathartic rock cues with a softer side of indie as well.]
I am loving the sparse crunching piano, the intense vocal performance, all the potent crashes of sound and the passion in the story telling.

Leo Jergovic (TheFleok) is a New York based songwriter who moved from California to create. As a pianist/vocalist that thrives on the stage, his recorded music balances the intensity of his live shows with the intimacy of his emotions.
In the summer of 2022, living in a small apartment in the Northern Italian city of Milan, Leo purchased a guitar for 50 euros and a small notebook at the local shop. Writing songs in the impulsive weather of a European summer, he began compiling the ideas that would later become a 5-song EP called Wrong Page. The collection represents his conversations with heartbreak, feelings of loss in too many large cities, and the precise moments of frustration that our words fail to express on their own.
This always was, and may always be, the essence of his music—a love letter to the place where it was captured, a confrontation with profundity, and the only way to say it all.
