"Fünf am Morgen starre durch Augen irgendwelcher Menschen..."
The vast electronica / organic storytelling of "LED Dance" by German duo GRENJI is enchanting to say the least. Not speaking German, I am still able to grasp a narrative, an arc told through animated productions that feel like a time traveling glimpse into different places or other world. The chord shapes while feeling very ultra pop still offers surprises and the vocal performance is full of verve, full of passion. "LED Dance" also touches hints of fantasy rock, of twee on high and bedroom pop done up in a big way. It is not beyond the pale to imagine GRENJI and Grimes hand in hand running through neon fields as space wood nymphs.

Playful guitars, dystopian synths, harsh compressed vocals, as well as a mix of electronic and acoustic elements characterize GRENJI’S sound. Songs that could be played in the Berghain, as well as determine the soundtrack of an anime, are greatly nostalgic under their rough surface, always aspiring to something positive at their core. Dive into GRENJI’S sparkling world of Berlin bunkerpop.
