There is a lot to keep your eye on within "Cyclops Girlfriend" by Brooklyn based four piece alt rockers SKORTS. On their debut single, they deliciously collides surf punk, psych rock, askew art punk, alt rock and more. Like an amalgam of artists like Mquestionmark, The Dirtbombs, Daughter, Tropical Fuck Storm (off the top of my rattled head) there is a sense of dark subversion, of poking into the inner ID, of "fuck you" and "fucking funny", of doing what makes sense at the moment. At least that is how SKORTS is striking me as I merely scratch the surface.
I also poked around on You Tube and they sound so great, so potent live.
