"the fragments of my memories do point to something more..."
Floating amidst beautifully simple acoustic picking shapes and swelling mild strings and horns into an embrace of folk and chamber pop, Beti Masenqo sings about the delicate structure of love and expectations of such on "much of anything". There are vulnerable messages, unsure imaginings in the beautiful candid lilt of Masenqo's vocal countenance, a bouncing melody adorned with melancholia and with what some might feel is a sort of 60's folk classicalism. The multi-instrumentalist who I literally know nothing about is a singer-songwriter gem that I was gifted with just this morning.
I doubt that this is the last time I will hear from her and I looking forward to learning more about Beti Masenqo's story.
