...on one hand might seem silly in a Monty Python-esque sort of way but the joke might creep up on you slowly because the heavy, heavy psych rock explosions around you are magnetic diversions. This formula, if it is one, is simply brilliant.
There is something about music so loud, that barrels over you, that is incredibly perfect to head bang to, to mosh to, to flail around to, that you come home sore with a bloody nose to, that you escape into and forget about the state of the world at least for a little while. The slow walk into fascism that your country might be zombie walking to unless you stop it. This kind of music is essential because it can numb you and cleanse you at the same time.
This is what Sweden's Repeat offer you in their track "Repeat" from the band's self-titled album "Repeat", dropping on October 6, 2023 both digitally and on vinyl.

Repeat is a newly formed stonerrock/alternative rock band from Sweden. The band was founded by Torbjörn Hallberg, Stockholm-based guitarist and vocalist, and Johan Holmberg (formerly Liberator, the well-known Swedish ska rock band from Malmö Sweden). Combining elements of stoner rock, alternative rock with repetitive riffs and lyrics, Repeat wants to appeal to a wide range of fans of stoner rock, desert rock and alt rock music of all kind.
Repeat says: “The idea behind the album is to provide a short and explosive experience of repetitive aggressive songs. We truly prefer the short formats and a direct presence. The mix of stoner rock and alternative rock with loud very fuzzy guitars, rumbling bass, and aggressive yet stiff drums, bring a unique progressive style of our own.”
The self-titled album ’Repeat’ will be released on October 6, 2023 both digitally and on vinyl. The album was recorded and produced by Joakim Lindberg at Studio Sickan in Malmö, Sweden April 2023. It was mastered by Magnus Lindberg at Redmount Studios, Stockholm Sweden.
