The track primarily written by Joey Gavin (on lead vocals, acoustic guitar) is beautifully rendered, lifting off with Mark Loughrey's endearing vocal harmonies. Mark Loughrey is an Alt-Folk singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born in the north of Ireland, currently based in Berlin. Before moving to Germany, he self-released "Treppenwitz" in 2017. Treppenwitz'' features a wealth of characters and voyeuristic storytelling supported by vibrant, sweeping arrangements and the wistful wanderlust of Loughrey's words.
In December 2020, he released the self-produced ''On Through the Veil Anew''. Recorded during the lockdown, this EP weaves together elements of Irish folk, ambient soundscapes, field recordings and stream-of-consciousness lyrics.
In the years that followed, he worked as a street musician, writer, and session musician in Berlin, with which he also maintains close ties. His music has taken him to the West Coast of the United States, Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia, where he recently toured Thailand and Japan.
