milkshed. and the massive magnetic power of "Burning Bridges"

"I don't want to live like that / don't let me catch you listening / to the voices that are in your head..."

Take late early 80's power pop, smush it messily with 90's grunge, pour gasoline on it and light it on fire and you just might approximate the sound of south-west England's milkshed.. The incredibly intoxicating "Burning Bridges" is so exquisitely HEAVY, beyond heavy actually with Cam Gallaher, Jake Tulley, & Alf Grey all killing their respective parts. I don't, at this point, know who do what but the guitar and bass are massive, the vocals are the perfect pitch of screech, croon, back of the throat grit and whoever plays the drums, HOLY fuck.

"Burning Bridges" is a letter to a loved one. I think we can all relate to the feeling of wanting to help someone who’s struggling but feeling powerless to do so.

milkshed. is Cam Gallaher, Jake Tulley, & Alf Grey. Working out of a disused milking parlour in the depths of south-west England, the three have been busily honing a powerful style. Blending elements of 90s grunge and psychedelic rock with pop songwriting sensibilities, their enigmatic sound is a fresh take on modern guitar music. Their debut single “Apex Predator” is a bold statement of intent. Entirely self-produced from recording to mix, the track encapsulates the band’s raw energy and sets the bar for the catalogue that is to follow. With Glastonbury festival as their debut performance, milkshed. have established themselves as a captivating new live act not to be missed.
