"think I've thrown it all aside..."
The gentle, yet swanky histrionics, the machine beats and magnetic bass shapes, the wash of sound, ambient tensions, droning bell tone synths and vocals with a cool aloof 80's drawl on top of 90's post punk, gothic rock perversions is all here, plus possible hints of female vox and driving guitar layers. I am thinking, as I listen of an amalgam of ghosts, those ghosts being an amalgam of Joy Division, of Slowdive, of Interpol, of Cabaret Voltaire. I am loving the nostalgia and the drive, the collaboration, I love the sensory feeling and I lament the drum machine instead of a drummer.
The song is "Bringing on the Shame" by Ottawa, Ontario Canada's Neurotypes in collaboration with Ottawa's fanclubwallet. I literally know nothing about these artists. Some artists are shy, some aren't but just like to be secretive. Quite ok.
