Like a movie about a movie being made about an orchestra scoring the movie about a movie being made, "pp500" by artist, muti-instrumentalist, composer, arranger Sylvan Tirelle is a stunning jazz rock hybrid that feels like a sonic prism casting out different shapes of sound in concert with one another while having opposing forces as well.
Tirelle says:
"This track from my debut album, "Omni-Gatherum", which is a self indulgent DIY, wherein I wrote, performed, and recorded each instrument myself."
I can tell you that I have received hundreds of songs created by one lone creative musician but nothing like this. There is such singularity in the way this composition is constructed. It is as if you can feel these many musicians playing off and to each other at the same time, it feels that cohesive, a live breathing sonic entity full of emotions. This could surely grace any number of future movies that encompass intricate missions or highly complex relationships internal or external.
