Gabriel Valentine and the organic tenderness of "Twister"

"looking right at her / you can feel her power / she came alive like a dagger / I'd die if I had her..."

The organic tenderness of "Twister" by Nashville, TN singer-songwriter / musician Gabriel Valentine feel refreshingly stripped down to it's musical and emotional essentials. The rubber bridge acoustic pluckiness (or is that a banjo?), the slow galloping drum cadence, hugging bass lines and Valentine's lovely, sometimes acerbic, lyrical poetry running on easy vocals that warble at times (in embracing ways) all feels, at once, beautiful with bits of whimsy too. The exquisite folk indie / garden rock charm that might suggest an amalgam of Alex G and Kermit the Frog. I, of course, mean this as a total compliment.

"looking right at her / you can feel her power / she came alive like a dagger / I'd die if I had her"

I look forward to hearing more.

"she's just too good / I have to chase her..."
