J.L.G and the dark spiraling nuwave mayhem of "Giallo" (Official Video)

"One look at me / And I knew you wouldn't stay / But you know I tried to / Be beside you..."

The stridently cool bass throttle, the caustic synth arpeggio'd propulsions of "Giallo" by South Florida nuwave outfit L.L.G could be classified as tech punk or dark tech wave if I had my druthers. AND even though I don't know what druthers are, the dark spiral of "Giallo" saturated in this tense stew of repeated synths, a comely bass line (that anchors the track), trippy lead guitar screams and artful vocals with a decidedly Goth-esque drawl makes for a mayhemic experience. A furious storm to get lost in and revel in.

The feeling is emotionally tense and urgent at the same time and J.L.G say the song is about:
"Not being there for the ones you love when they need it most."

One look at me
And I knew you wouldn't stay
But you know I tried to
Be beside you
Hope you know
In my heart I'll never rest
But you know I tried to
Be beside you

I am liking the sound in terms of it's dark angles, it's cinematic edges that might suggest a blend of sci-fi dystopia or 1960's Italian horror flicks. Sonically an amalgam of Bauhaus, Alien Sex Fiend, Corpus Delicti or thereabouts. No artist comparisons were hurt in the making of this review.
