Immortal Wound and the brilliant psychedelic splatter of "starlight"

"I feel the stars in the night / Tell me it’s meant to be / Tell me tonight..."

The synthpop distortions, indie alt pop smashed dance beats and screaming glam dual guitar leads of "starlight" by Brooklyn's psych indie duo Immortal Wound is a multi-flavored indie iteration. I mean, like a collision of early MGMT / Everything Everything / and Prince (if he was collabing with Porches), the sound here is like a sonic version of a Jackson Pollock painting. And that's suits me fine.

Immortal Wound is comprised of Til Will & Paz Mallea. "starlight" is the third of six singles from their upcoming album. A tour in the fall is booked to support this independent release.

"In the starlight
Just one look in your eyes
and there’s no holding back

Tell me your heartbeat matches mine

In the starlight
Just one look in your eyes
and there’s no holding back"

Characterized by grinding guitars, airy synthesizers, and narrative pop lyricism, Immortal Wound serves a lo-fi flavor of new wave. The duo expands upon the psychedelic universe of their music with immersive animated music videos they self-produce.
