Soni Mind and sunburnt dark imagery of "Little Beast"

"she's always been a desert kid..."

The evocative sonic imagery of "Little Beast" by Soni Mind is built on match sticks in the 116 degree pummeling heat of the California desert. At least that is what I am feeling, maybe because I am experiencing that right now. It is weird when a song I am hearing for the first time feels like a personal potent soundtrack. The antithesis of "Boys of Summer" and something more akin to a dark passage or film involving (maybe) bruised up lives and ancillary characters made up of tweakers and that one love interest that prevails, moves from the sunburned dark to the light, from the ravaging desert to the salvation of a California ocean.

LINER NOTES:

[Little Beast is Soni Mind’s coming out party as a vocalist. It’s a dark pop song, which is a new direction for him. While most of the musician’s material released to date leans minimal and abstract bedroom lo-fi, this one is a fully sent modern pop song. Little Beast was inspired by Miike Snow, Glass Animals and Justin Beiber, among others. Soni Mind is an experimental new sound.]

Fuck it's hot.
