MOTHNOTLIVING and the abstract bedroom pop piano bar of "So Weird"

"Life’s so weird / For what? / Words are not enough / Learn to savor it / A wave, an awkward hello / Will she ever know?"

If post punkers, goth kids and abstract new wavers had a piano bar to go to, they would likely want to hear "So Weird" by Los Angeles based producer, beatmaker, artist MOTHNOTLIVING and swaying to the off beat grooves and Farfisa-esque keys. The sense here is a collision of Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Todd Rundgren. A meditative rumination or illumination depending on how you look at it, or maybe both.

"A wave, an awkward hello
Will she ever know?
Will he ever learn?
Cause I don’t wanna
feel like that no more"

I am having a mild trance, imaginary drumming and swimming in the ambling basslines, linear synth lines and constant keys downbeat as the vocal float above it all, normal registers and falsettos.

"And how it seems, it is
I promise you it’s true
Of all the things in life
I’d have to say it’s you
Oh well
Oh well
Oh well"
