Ajimal's eerie imagery in "How Could You Disappear" (Official Video) spins on his deeply moving voice

AP Track Review

Ajimal's Video (as directed by Daisy JT Smith) for the dreamy How Could You Disappear is full of dark romance. haunting, eerie imagery of floating bodies and that ghostly materialized man with the blurry face that seems to be obscured in schisms of the past or future. There are more visions saturated in pools of water and storms like poltergeists inside, spinning glasses, books on edge just like the woman lost and broken in her visions.

Ajimal's beautiful vocal performance, his tender, intimate aesthetic sells all this so well. A classical trained pianist, it is his voice that is his most pure instrument and his ability to craft melodies that stir your soul. How Could You Disappear is from his upcoming album "As It Grows Dark / Light" produced with Grammy winner Guy Massey (The Beatles, Spiritualized, Bill Fay, The Divine Comedy) and due for a spring 2020 release.

Ajimal is the musical moniker of Fran O’Hanlon and he is based in London by way of Newcastle.

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:

Fran O'Hanlon acquired the name AJIMAL from a former Voodoo priest in the aftermath of being caught up in Haiti, following the 2010 earthquake.
AJIMAL returns on October 18th with ‘How Could You Disappear?’ – the second release from his upcoming album, ‘As It Grows Dark / Light’ produced with Grammy winner Guy Massey (The Beatles, Spiritualized, Bill Fay, The Divine Comedy) due for release Spring 2020.
Although a classically trained pianist, O’Hanlon feels much more comfortable writing and exploring music by ear, rather than through the more rigid classical syllabus he grew up with, a discovery that has happily enabled him to combine a career in medicine with music.
Hailing from Newcastle, now based in London, AJIMAL's music encompasses elements of both soaring grandeur and pin drop intimacy.
