The track Slow Timey by Flax is a trippy, quizzical sort of psyche garden rock affair. Some times the words are vexing, some time they are like a splash of cold water in your face and in both instances they bounce in such beautiful ways. Flax has not only a way with words but with melody and with an instrument (his voice) that moves in mysterious ways. Love his ability to twist and turn phrases so comfortably. In the end Slow Timey asks the existential question, "Will you remember me when I leave the galaxy?'

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:
FLAX boasts a supple soulful vocal style and a skill for layered, cinematic arrangements as well as wide-screen art-pop soundscapes. His music is characterized by tactile nylon string guitar fingerings over an array of instruments, from upright bass to strings to samples and synths.
The epic Led Zepp-ish, autobiographical “Slow Timey” takes on this petty pace we strut from day-to-day until we all end up in the same place, asking the existential question, “Will you remember me when I leave the galaxy?”
