"one million eyes around you"
Vancouver's Autos Jaquet are a complete mystery to me but their debut single 3D Glasses sort of begs you to take interest in them. The droning art post punk guitars with bending notes and the almost 90's heavy big hair metal vocal affectations car crashing into new wave or proto punk vox (I can't decide) pulls me in as much as I want to run away. The art rock / art punk tones have that effect on me, sometimes I enjoy the pure artistry of art rock and especially glam and sometimes I want to slap the lipstick off of it. I am of two minds lately, the uncertainty of the world right now has made me a bit crazy. And as bipolar as I am feeling right now, there is, there is certainly something pulling me towards this band and their song 3D Glasses. There certainly is.
