La Sanyea Dengue and the caustic punk car crash of "Automobile"

"Four piece punk rock band from Borlänge, Sweden"

Sweden’s La Sanyea Dengue just released their second single “Automobile,” a frantic force that puts you in the driver’s seat. The track is written from the point of view of the driver who almost killed lead singer Simon Lindberg, inspiring the group to write this urgent and manic track. Cars are a perplexing thing, the cause of 1.35 million fatalities globally per year, vastly larger than the 299 fatalities from air travel recorded from 2020. The psychology of reckless drivers is even more baffling, and in the case of Lindberg’s near death experience the driver was distracted by their phone. Dying at the phone-carrying hands of dumb drivers is a fucked up way to go, and we’re glad Simon survived to write this heavy post punk lament with La Sanyea Dengue. The track is self recorded and produced, following the October release of their first single “Love Pill” which also emanates the fast and loud vigor of this four piece rock band. Have a listen to these 2 singles and keep on La Sanyea Dengue for their future releases, and don’t drive like a cretin.
