Count Traffelgar and the London proto punk visions of "A Dream or a Place"

"it's something I can't explain"

“A Dream or a Place” is the second release from Count Traffelgar out of London, inspired by dreams that take hold of your subconscious and consciousness in a way that you have trouble shaking from your mind. From Andrew Zdunek who worked with Elementaj on guitar and vocals and Silver Sail on bass, Count Traffelgar was formed with Alesis on drums to create a post punk and industrial sound of their own. They draw inspiration from artists like Boris Dzaneck, Prick, and PET, naturally reminiscent of early Joy Division and the overall pioneering sound of post punk. Dreams are weird, sometimes I wish I didn’t even have them as they take up too much headspace when I’m trying to be present. Hearing this track made me think of reoccurring dreams I have where I’m in a completely imagined city that definitely doesn’t exist. I even had a dream where I tried to go there, but in the dream realized the place did not actually exist. Maybe hearing this track will be relatable for you too, or maybe it will snap you out if it. This track is off of their EP “Serious Working Machine,” have a listen and stay tuned for the EP release.
