TARA and torn dreaminess of "Light Again"

"it all felt like a dream, you and me, all we need...."

Brooklyn based Tara, on the densely dreamy "Light Again" combine elements of shoegaze and dream pop to temporarily push out all the crud that is on social media and elsewhere and allow you get lost in the sound. Today, getting lost and allowed to dream in romance waves edged with longing, hope and even dark questions is much needed. I particularly find my self coming back to "Light Again" because of the song's tension and urgency framed in the tightness of the groove, the exhilarating drum beat, the driving rhythms  as a counter position to all the dreaminess contained in the beautiful vocal performances.

Now "Light Again" is not rose colored, it is bathed in, wet with melancholia and as the band shares "is about the complex dynamics of a relationship and how breaking up and then reuniting again can take such a toll on us but, perhaps it's worth it?" but swimming through the somberness is the deep connection between people and whether love is lost or not that pursuit is everything.
