Sorry It's Over and the uplifting barbed melancholia of "Time to Pretend"

"be a part of the pollution or so they say..."

"Time to Pretend" by Sorry It's Over is uplifting in a sad way. A beautifully pop indie piano based song with a 70's Lennon / Harry Nilsson sensibility infused with an earnest and artfully raw vocal aesthetic, the track beautifully hooks you in to it's melancholia while shooting barbs at the fake politicos around us.

Louis penned the track and shares:

"The lyrics are basically just him making fun of people that are addicted to social media. Mainly the people that post something political everyday but have never voted once in their life."

Decade from now, social scientists will surely have a full assessment of how social media platforms have ruined society more than helped it and maybe people will actually talk to each other, the art of compromise will come back and the cult of personality will be severely stifled. Hey, a guy can dream after all.

"Time to Pretend" is the title track from the San Diego, California based band's new album on Geza X Records.
