"I scream the answer 'till you think I'm evolving and play the role you need..."
Dutch singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer Raven Artson has a penchant for creating art from the inside out, pressing multi-genre divergent buttons and painting broadly even using himself as the canvas. "I'm The One" turns on indie electronic turntables, switching up with progressive post rock mannerisms, avant garde shapes softened, at times, by neo-soul pop edges. I am digging the empty spaces, the Farfisa-esque keys, and Raven's vocal aesthetic that feels comfortably pop groovy and then surprisingly metamorphasizes, manifesting a wonderful art punk mania. Raven, keep us guessing once more enlisting Mucky (Sevdaliza) and BEA1991 as exclusive collaborators on this new single.

Raven Artson conquers with an authentic and charming sound. Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and composer, he translates his multi-faceted personality into an impactful creative universe, combining music and visual presence.” - Le Mile, 2021
That mania is where Raven feels most comfortable. As he puts it himself: "Life swings us back and forth, and that’s ok because we’re not meant to think and feel linear. There’s beauty in friction." The result is a vibe that’s hard to pigeonhole - call it slow motion hyper pop, call it tear dripping auto tune.
Recently this led to airplay by BBC1’s Jack Saunders and Elton John, contributing to Sevdaliza’s sophomore album, and playing the lead role in Folkert Verdoorn’s short film ‘The Performer’. Aside from that, Raven wrote the OST for ‘Stranger’s Arms’ - the debut film from Emma Westenberg, who is known for her music videos for Janelle Monáe, Troye Sivan and Rico Nasty.
To close off the current chapter, Raven will bundle all his work in a compilation called ‘Cravin’ - celebrating desire as the peak, yet fundament, of emotion.
