"the breaking waves are in my ears or maybe that's just my damaged drum..."
Durham, North Carolina's The Sheeps just released a massive 32 track album called "get busy" and the first track "Seabird II" with it's slippery bass lines, chill drum beats, jangle pop guitar tones, nicely washed vocal harmonies and lead guitar bird trills that do, in fact, have an airy psychedelic push like those off shore breezes that make seagulls float in one place. I really dig the sound here.

This is what The Sheeps reveal about "Seabird II" and their new album:
[this is the first song off of our album, get busy. we heard a cover of the alessi brothers' song 'seabird' by a Peruvian band called innovations, and matt probably listened to it 100 times over the course of the next month. it turned out that the seabird became a big motif for the whole album after that. the rest of the album goes...all over the place (sonically and musically), but ultimately the theme of finding your way back to yourself through the internal darkness is consistent throughout. that's what seabird ii sets the stage for.]
At a minute and 52, during the bridge of "Seabird II", it pitches left as if soaring along a picturesque sea cliff. The change is stunningly beautiful and dreamy. It is one of my favorite parts of the song but, truth be told, I love it all.
