AP Track Review:
All The Way by Brooklyn's King Jane shines on clean warm harmonies and a sort of happy quandary of light fusion rock stirring in jazzy flavors with psyche, and pop rock elements. The use of double leads is wonderful here, spreading the sound. The effect is still breezy and then they come in with soft punches of rock in equal measures. King Jane features three songwriters and their debut EP, Deep In the Garden dropped back in August. The track Verdin sweetly pushes R&B flavors as well percolating with trippy sounds and beautiful vox. Gypsy Girl filters in lush unabashedly deep art pop tones, with psychedelic / glam tones as well. I thought of a soft blend of Joe Jackson, Queen and Be Bop Deluxe here. And Sympathetic pushes soul and romance wave buttons in a big lovely chamber pop way, deep underneath there is a almost 1950's two step sway (and finger snap) accentuated with a stellar jazzy lead and heavenly pearly sounds. It is all a sweet surprise.
