AP Review:
Simen Mitlid hails from Oslo, Norway. I have never been there but it sounds so romantic really. One wonders if your location effects your art, I mean it must... right? As singer-songwriter, performer Mitlid's sonic creations often times feel like love letters. His latest release Reality Tsars from his recent album entitled "Neutral" may not sound like a love letter but it definitely could be pages from a diary moving at a fast clip. It has a wanderlust tone, like riding on the rails (or piloting through the sky) with guitars and synths and what sounds like a banjo percolating away. Mitlid has a sad evocative voice that you want to embrace. Yes, I bet Oslo is a lovely place.

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:
Hailing from the lush woods of Os, Norway, singer-songwriter Simen Mitlid crafts lush, Nordic indie-folk a la contemporaries like Sufjan Stevens, Fleet Foxes and Patrick Watson. Since the critical acclaimed 2017 debut album “Everything Is the Same", Mitlid have been working on his second full length release. Self-produced and recorded in vivid locales in his hometown, the album is playful and nostalgic.
